The Best E-Pipes in the UK for 2020
For many of us, pipes are associated with mysteries or men in smoking jackets. Yet these pipes have long been part of the smoking tradition, considered the oldest form of traditional smoking. The question is if these staples of the smoking community have made the transition to vaping. E-cigarettes have become a huge industry, with a variety of options. Still, for those who prefer the pipe to the cigarette, have they been left out of this growing industry? The answer is most definitely not. Throughout this article, we will discuss electronic or e-pipes and how they have grown as a segment of within the vaping industry.
Smoking (Tobacco) Pipes
The traditional pipe is made up of the bowl where the tobacco is held, the stem or shank extends out to the mouthpiece, often known as the bit. These pipes can be made of clay, hard dense woods or even minerals. When pipes are made of clay, the stem and bowl can be one continuous piece. Other materials allow for the stem to be disconnected from the bowl for cleaning or storage. These can be artistic and elegant pieces, in addition to their practical application for smoking tobacco. One can use a variety of tobacco flavours to achieve a relaxing and enjoyable smoking experience. A pipe smoker typically needs a pipe tool, which allows the tobacco to be compacted into the bowl, thus making it easier to burn because of an optimized airflow. The tobacco itself is lit by means of matches or a lighter.
What Is an E-Pipe?
An electronic pipe or e-pipe takes its cue from the traditional pipe, by providing a bowl, stem and mouthpiece. However, instead of using traditional tobacco, the e-pipe uses atomisers filled with an e-liquid. The liquid is heated and as the user inhales, they receive the traditional throat hit of a pipe smoking experience. Within the bowl, various e-pipe manufacturers include a light that glows as the user inhales. Earlier versions of the e-pipe looked a bit fake, but as the industry has progressed, the look has become more natural.
Still, e-pipes do take some of the rituals associated with pipe smoking out of the picture. For example, there is no tamping of the tobacco in the bowl or the repeated lighting of the tobacco. Many e-pipes just require the user to push a button to begin the process of vaping. The shapes mimic traditional pipes, but they often have a lithium battery that can be recharged as necessary based on usage.
There are several different types of e-pipes, such as the Jazz. Stems can be converted from a universal adapter to one that can handle a 510 drip. For example, the Jazz e-pipe comes with an o-ring, which is similar to the normal drip tip. E-pipes can also be fitted with stainless steel to create a slick appearance.
Some of these pipes come with an automatic switch that activates when the vaper inhales. The vast majority come with a manual switch, which allows the user to activate the device when they are ready to begin vaping.
How to Find The Best E-Pipe?
When looking for an e-pipe that will fit your vaping needs, it is important to find one that you enjoy using. If possible, stop by a vaping store and try a sample pipe. Do you find that all the parts are fitting together well? If there are gaps or other areas of concern, that e-pipe might not be the best fit for you. Additionally, this is not an accessory. So you should choose one based on what you like, versus what matches an outfit. It is also good to note that while buying an inexpensive traditional pipe might make it more difficult to learn how to smoke it, an e-pipe is pretty standard in their operation. If you prefer a more traditional looking e-pipe, then you will need to look for an e-pipe that mimics that look, versus having the atomiser visible.
As you will see, e-pipes can be as varied as their more traditional counterparts, giving their users plenty of ways to express their own tastes.
We suggest you to try ePuffer, the most quality ePipes producer we found in the market.
Vape Pipes Accessories
There are a variety of accessories, including different coloured bowls and stems that include the atomiser. However, it is important to note that if you want a more traditional looking pipe, you will want to choose a stem that reflects that ascetic. For those who prefer mods, there are several options to create a sleek modern look. With a variety of colours and finishes, the e-pipe can be customized to fit anyone’s personality.
There can also be adjustments made to the voltage and wattage to create a more unique vaping experience. In many ways, the e-pipe can be modified in similar ways to the e-cigarette in terms of e-liquid, voltage and wattage. There are options in terms of coils and tanks.
Another option for customization is the pipe bowl and stem themselves. As with traditional pipes, there are wooden ones with beautiful carvings in both the bowl and stem. There are plenty of options for creating artistic versions of e-pipes.
Electric Pipe E-Liquid Flavours
As with e-cigarettes, e-pipes offer various flavours. While the majority of these options have a more tobacco flavouring to reflect traditional pipe tobacco, there are also sweeter choices available. These liquids come with a variety of nicotine strengths, so you can still enjoy the effects of nicotine. With e-pipes, there is no tar or other chemicals, thus making them appealing to those who want to enjoy a pipe but not all the chemical extras.
Depending on the manufacturer, you can order e-liquids with fruit or candy flavourings, as well as more traditional menthol. The e-liquid is manufactured with much the same formula as e-cig liquids, which means they contain nicotine, flavouring and usually a combination of propylene glycol and glycerine.
E-Pipe Styles and Colours
Whether you are looking for an e-pipe which mimics the sophistication of traditional tobacco pipes, or a modern twist on the old classic, there is an e-pipe out there to suit your tastes. E-pipes are available in a massive range of colours, styles and materials.
E-Puffer is one supplier which offers an extensive selection of styles, ranging from beautiful wooden e-pipes to sleek metal designs. They also stock pipes made from innovative materials such as plastic and glass, as well as themed pipes for the those looking for an e-pipe which will stand out from the crowd.
In many cases, it is also possible to personalise or customise your e-pipe. The only limit is your imagination!
Where to Buy an E-Pipe?
Electronic pipes can be found in most vaping stores, but also there are multiple sites that offer choices online. You can choose a manufacturer who can create a customized pipe, or you can purchase a more traditional option. Many manufacturers offer starter kits with a complete e-pipe, a sample of e-liquid, one or two stems and of course the items necessary to charge your e-pipe.
Regulations on Vape Pipes in the UK
It is completely legal to buy and use an e-pipe in the UK. Unlike several other European countries, the UK has not banned the use or purchase of vaping products. However, it is still important to check regulations before importing an e-pipe from another country, as regulations vary widely from country to country.
As the “Tobacco Products Directive” comes into effect in May 2o17, there will be additional regulations placed on e-pipes and other vaping products within the UK. A couple of things to bear in mind include refill size, nicotine strength and limitations on flavours. The directive may also mean that we see a disappearance of variable-voltage and variable-wattage products off the market in the UK.
Above all, when buying or using an e-pipe in a different country, make sure to check online for up-to-date regulations – and avoid any mishaps!
Electric Pipes in The UK
E-pipes can be purchased within the United Kingdom (UK). However, if you are a resident of the U.S., companies outside of the U.S. are restricted from shipping tobacco products into the country. Therefore, it is important to make sure of the manufacturer’s country of origin, to make sure that your purchase can be shipped to you. While e-cigs and e-pipes might fall into the grey area of not being specifically tobacco products, there are still may be potential issues in terms of quantity limits that can be purchased by an individual consumer.
UK sites also offer a variety of flavourings and various options to customize your e-pipe. Depending on the site, you may find the flavourings are made right in the UK, or they may originate from another country, including ones within the European Union (EU). Thus, it is important to remember to check where the e-liquids are made prior to purchase. Standards for e-liquids can vary depending on their manufacturing country of origin. Not all are required to make them to food grade standards, so the product you receive might not have the same consistent and robust flavour throughout the tank.
Buy Electronic Pipe Online
When it comes to purchasing e-pipes online, beginners would be wise to purchase a starter kit from their manufacturer of choice. This allows them to try out the e-pipe without a major investment. Online purchases do not allow for you to try out the product or sample a liquid prior to purchase, so be sure that you know the return policy for your specific manufacturer. If the project arrives broken or you are not satisfied, it is important to know what your rights are. This is particularly true if you are purchasing from a manufacturer or website outside of your country.
Depending on the site, there may be requirements of the types of shipping available. You might not be able to get a second day or quick delivery of your product. Thus, it is key to read all the information on shipping to your country prior to purchasing. Customs can often delay packages. A negative about online purchases is that you might have a significant wait to receive your products, while brick and mortar stores allow you to walk out with your product that day.
Online purchases can also eat into any 30 day return policy, particularly if it will be a week or more before you receive your purchases. Yet another reason to be familiar with the return and warranty policies prior to purchase.
Another item to note is most websites will not sell to consumers under the age of 18. Some sites will even require ID proving you are 18 before you can sign for your first shipment. Although, once you verify your age, the shipments can be delivered without further proof of age. Thus, new consumers will need to be aware of any shipping restrictions prior to purchase.
For those looking to move into e-pipes, there is plenty to consider before enjoying the unique experience of pipe vaping.
Finding the Best-Value E-Pipe in the UK
Despite being a great option for many, e-pipes are not yet as popular as other vaping options such as e-cigarettes. Because of this, it can be a little harder to source the best e-pipe for you – but don’t worry! To find the best e-pipe for you, simply prioritise what is most important for you when buying your pipe. Is it flavour? A classic or traditional style? Are you looking for an e-pipe for all-day, or occasional use?
A common priority when choosing an e-pipe, or any vaping product, is to find one that doesn’t break the bank! Price is an important consideration whether you are purchasing your first e-pipe, or investing in a speciality model. As mentioned above, it is well worth seeing if you can try out your e-pipe before you buy it. Although it can be more expensive to buy from a vaping shop, remember that this will save you the cost of shipping and handling. However, many companies will ship internationally to the UK, so if you are willing to wait for your order to arrive then this may be a way to save money!
Top Quality E-Pipe Reviews
ePuffer – E-Pipe 609 Review
The 609 ePuffer electronic pipe, unlike the 605 model, is offered in only one colour option: real, solid wood. The 609 is a testament to ePuffer’s attention to fine detail and quality. It looks and feels like a classic smoking pipe, yet has all the benefits of a vaporizer.
It operates on a 900 mAh battery, which is more than enough to last two or more days with frequent use. Included in a starter kit are two 900 mAh batteries, so you’ll never be without a fully charged product. Like the 605, the 609 model uses flavour cartomizers, which are available for purchase on ePuffer’s website.
The 609 is ePuffer’s answer to those who would say the 604 underperforms. It is ideal for people who use a pipe often, and are looking for a daily replacement.

Vape pipe review
When I first got into pipe smoking, I fell in love. There’s something about puffing on a pipe that just makes the world slow down.
Smoking a pipe takes time. You get to relax, take in your surroundings, get lost in thought, and appreciate the experience.
Unfortunately, like all burnt tobacco, there are considerable health concerns. Wanting to live a long life, I set the ‘toby’ aside.
I immediately started looking around for a good electronic smoking pipe that could take its place. I was surprised by the lack of good information about affordable e-pipe options.
It’s not that they don’t exist, they simply seem to be scattered across the web, with very little reliable information ready at hand.
So what are the best e-pipes at a cheap price point?
This article is written to help the reader find a good, affordable e-pipe without breaking the bank. We’ll take a look at four of the realistic options on the market, weighing the pros and cons of each one.
Hopefully these electronic pipe reviews will help you end up with something that’d make Gandalf proud! Let’s get started.
Gimmick or All-Day Vape?
Before we get into the reviews proper, I think it’s worth mentioning the novelty factor.
I don’t think that any of the cheaper e-pipes out there should be considered as an ‘all-day vape’ device. They’re all best suited for around the house vaping and parties and such.
Why? They tend to be a bit more complicated, a bit less compact, and they incorporate more ‘cosmetic’ touches than your average cigalike or mod.
That said, I know a few people who use their cheap e-pipe as their go-to device. Really, it comes down to finding something that works best for you!
1) Kamry K1000: One of the best, cheap e-pipes around
Kamry’s popular and affordable K1000 e-pipe is what I’d classify as a ‘vanity vape’, a device designed with looks and aesthetics primarily in mind. Form over function. Each one is colourful, stylish, attractive and eye-catching.
And fortunately, the fun colour and design doesn’t diminish from the capability of this fun little vape!
It uses a built-in tank clearomizer which comes included with the kit. This is a passable atomizer with decent vapour. It’s nothing special, but it works. The tank uses a standard X6 V2 atomizer head, which you can replace as you burn through them. It features a plastic window instead of glass.
You’re not limited with atomizers either, as you can upgrade to whatever you like… the Kamry K1000 is compatible with anything with a 510 connection. In fact, I highly recommend an upgrade after an initial tryout. The included tank isn’t bad, but there are better and slicker looking options out there. You might even find something that will colour-match your pipe.
The battery is housed inside the pipe bowl, and it’s fired manually using a button on top of the bowl.
It utilizes a small 18350 battery, (which you sometimes have to purchase separately, make note!) which provides enough power for an enjoyable session. The voltage is fixed at about 3.7V and can’t be adjusted or modded.
Depending on which brand you choose, you should have about 800 mAh of juice per charge. It probably wouldn’t last all day for a moderate to heavy vaper, but because the battery is separate and removable, you can always carry a spare with you.
The Kamry K1000 is a great looking, inexpensive e-pipe with good reviews and sharp looks. It’s top of the list to consider.
Pros: Highly affordable, many colours to choose from, readily available
Cons: Small battery capacity (18350s), external tank
2) Kamry K1000 Plus: An attractive upgrade on Kamry’s successful K1000 line
Kamry is one of the few e-cigarette manufacturers to realize that there’s a good market for e-pipes. They’ve developed a higher end version called the K1000 Plus, which features better looks and a more premium finish.
It’s different enough in form and function that I figured it should be listed separately from its lower-priced sibling.
Like the original, it features a 510 connector and an external tank clearomizer. Unlike the original, the Plus features all stainless steel and glass construction, giving it a more premium feel in the hand and a nice weight to it.
Despite the looks, there is no wood in this e-pipe. The “bowl” is metal wrapped in a faux wood vinyl. The tip appears to be a urethane covered in the same wrap.
The clearomizer tank is a real upgrade, with adjustable airflow, a 4ml capacity, and replaceable coil heads. The drip tip’s length and construction mean it doesn’t transmit heat and will stay cooler than what you’re likely used to.
Despite its looks this is not a mechanical mod. Unlike its sibling, this e-pipe has a non-replaceable battery rated at 1100 mAh, which is nearly 50% more capacity.
It looks great in person and costs just a little over $30 at the time of writing. The Kamry K1000 Plus is one of the best budget-priced e-pipes around today.
Pros: Premium finish, nice tank clearomizer, 1100 mAh battery
Cons: Visible tank, no real wood components
3) Smoktech E-Pipe: Great reviews, cheap price, solid, simple and awesome
Another very popular pipe-style electronic cigarette is the inimitable Smoktech e-pipe. It’s an all-metal beast that would probably survive a bomb blast.
It’s quite a departure from the look and feel of a traditional tobacco pipe. The housing is full brass coated with chrome for a sleek appearance. That chrome continues up the whole body.
It’s best suited to someone who prefers the feel of a pipe in the hand, rather than the looks. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s really sharp, it just doesn’t look ‘traditional.’
Mechanically, it’s a very simple device. The main chamber unscrews to contain an 18350 battery, and it fires using a top mounted button. It fits beautifully in the hand and it’s a breeze to use. The button action is crisp, but beware that it doesn’t come with a lockout, so there could be some ‘pocket firing’ if you’re not paying attention.
It comes fitted with a 510 connection, so most of your atomizers and tanks will fit on nice and flush. It does not come with an atomizer / clearo / carto, you’ll have to buy one separately.
Vapour depends on what kind of cartomizer, atomizer or clearomizer you use with it, but it’s usually awesome at up to 4.2V.
Overall, this is a powerful, durable and great little electronic pipe, one of the best around.
Note: You’ll see a lot of knockoffs of this particular mod around the internet. The ‘authentic’ version is superior because it has some insulation around the battery housing. Otherwise, there is little difference.
Pros: Indestructible, affordably-priced, simple, versatile
Cons: Doesn’t come with a tank, clearomizer or cartomizer, doesn’t look like something Gandalf would smoke
4) 618 E-Pipe: A good-looking imitation of the real thing
If you’re wanting something that has the look as well as the feel of a traditional tobacco pipe, then you’d do well to consider the 618 electronic pipe. It reviews nicely and has the look and charm of the real thing.
From a distance, no one would realize it’s an electronic smoking pipe. In the hand the difference is obvious: the housing is made from plastic.
Like you, I’d have preferred to see wood. However, plastic means this is a cheap electronic pipe to buy. It still feels quite good in the hand.
It has a little diamond plastic cap over the battery which lights up when it fires. Not my cup of tea, but not the end of the world.
It comes with a cartomizer tank. That’s a technology that you don’t see as often, but it works well. You’ll just have to pick up new cartos every so often. You get a spare tank so you can mix up your juice flavours.
Like most, this unit runs on an 18350 battery, which fits snugly in the bowl. The battery is automatic, meaning it’s fired by just inhaling (rather than by pushing a button). That’s actually a really nice thing, and it makes for a more authentic pipe feel.
If you feel inspired, you can replace the tank with another 510 atomizer. That versatility is really what makes the 618 e-pipe worthwhile in my mind. And frankly, it looks awesome with just about any atomizer, clearomizer or cartomizer you throw on there. It’ll get loads of comments.
The 618 is a good, affordable electronic smoking pipe that has the looks most people are after.
Pros: Has a very traditional pipe look, replaceable battery, 510 compatible
Cons: No wood, not a big fan of the “diamond” in the bowl.
5) F-30: Classic-looking, inexpensive, variable wattage e-pipe
Most of the electronic pipes available for sale today tend to be fixed wattage / voltage, but the F-30 e-pipe is a variable wattage vaporizer that also happens to be very authentic looking.
Whereas most pipes tend to feature a button on top of the bowl, this one has an LCD screen and some controls. They’ve been careful to match the colours pretty nicely so it doesn’t stand out too much.
You can adjust the wattage from 5w to 30w, and the pipe will work with coils with a recommended resistance ranging between 1-1.5 ohms. That versatility can really help you find the sweet spot on your tank atomizer.
Speaking of, this pipe does not come with a clearomizer, cartomizer or atomizer. It’s compatible with anything with a 510 connection, which is the industry standard.
Please note: the above photo is an example of a complete pipe for illustration. The F-30 does not come with a tank, drip tip or mouthpiece.
It features a fixed internal battery with a 1400 mAh capacity. That’s the largest capacity on this list, making the F-30 a viable all-day vape, depending on your habits. You can charge the pipe with a simple micro USB input.
With the right clearomizer, this is probably the most traditionally pipe-like of this entire list. It’s made from a durable, faux wood polycarbonate. It has a nice curvature, and it’s pretty large, slightly bigger than an authentic tobacco pipe would be.
If you’re after the best e-pipe with variable wattage, the cheap F-30 is a true bargain.
Pros: Budget-friendly, realistic looking, variable wattage, high capacity battery
Cons: No clearomizer included, not real wood
Honorable Mention: Janty Kuwako
Curious about that gorgeous e-pipe in the introductory photograph? Well, it’s actually a customized e-cigarette with a Janty Kuwako attachment.
Janty created a clever and affordable little plastic piece that fits snugly on the end of most eGo batteries.
Some people consider it a gimmick, but I own one. Not only does it look great, it keeps your eGo batteries from rolling off the table!
What’s the next step in the electronic pipe world?
Ok, so this article has stuck to cheap e-pipes for budget buyers. However, what if price wasn’t an issue? If you increase your budget, you’ll find yourself in a magical world of incredible mods.
Epipemods is a fantastic example. All their pipes are hand crafted with fine attention to detail. They’re loaded up with options and you can pretty much customize it to fit your exact specs. Of course that makes them expensive. But you won’t find many negative reviews for these guys!
Limelight Mechanics has a line of handmade e-pipes that I’ve been dying to check out. I can’t vouch for them since I haven’t seen anything up close, but they look pretty legit. Again, higher price tag (not to mention costly shipping if you’re located in North America.)
Mycroft Milverton has a line that he upcycles from used tobacco estate pipes. These are bespoke, and he probably makes them each by hand, personally. For that reason, they’re pricey! But beauty comes at a price after all.
