Move it around in the water to ensure that it gets cleaned inside and out. You may let it soak for about 20 minutes to make sure there is no resin left inside your pipe. Once it is done soaking, remove the pipe from the bowl and pat dry with a paper towel. Let the pipe air dry for a few hours or overnight to ensure the inside is fully dry. Posted on Thursday, February 28th, 2008 by Peter Sciretta. Seth Rogen was able to convince Huey Lewis to record a title theme song for the upcoming Judd Apatow stoner comedy Pineapple Express . “It is called Pineapple Express, cleverly,” director David Gordon Green told movieweb. “Our only input was, we told him we wanted it to sound like his 80s work that we loved so much. And we wanted to have him say the title as many times as he could. It is kind of like that ‘other’ Back to the Future Huey Lewis song. Yeah.” Here are the lyrics from the song’s chorus: We got trouble, we got to get out of here. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until August 8th 2008 to hear it. But for now, enjoy this vintage music video for Huey Lewis & the News’ Power of Love which features a cameo of Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown with his time traveling Delorean. Rapper M.I.A.'s "Pineapple Express" Song a Hit: Too Bad It's Not In The Movie.

has had a major hit with her song, "Paper Planes," which was originally released in February but given new life thanks to its prominent placement in the trailer for Pineapple Express . As Peter Kafka noted on Silicon Alley Insider, the track has already reached #2 on iTunes' most downloaded songs list. One problem: the song isn't actually in the Sony Pictures movie or, more importantly, included in the film's soundtrack, released through Sony Music's independent distribution arm, Red. Instead, every one of those downloads and the skyrocketing sales of M.I.A.'s Kala , the album "Paper Planes" is on, pull in revenue for Sony's competitor, Universal Music Group. Indeed, "Paper Planes" was downloaded 125,371 times last week, and Kala 's sales increased by 11,000 copies (7,200 of which were digital downloads), rocketing the album up from number 62 to number 45. Meanwhile, the MIA-less Pineapple Express soundtrack didn't even crack the top half of the Billboard 200 albums chart and has been hovering in the lower half of iTunes' most-downloaded albums list (it briefly cracked the top 10 a couple days after its August 5 release, but dropped like a stone). However, if Sony had managed to put "Paper Planes" on the Pineapple Express soundtrack, maybe it would have moved Sony's album higher. Granted, enterprising consumers would have sought out "Paper Planes" on Kala even if it was an "Album Only" song on the soundtrack, and downloads of the song would always go to Universal. But, if Sony had scored some sort of special version of the song, like one intercut with dialogue from the film, that could've greatly enhanced sales for the soundtrack. But for now "Paper Planes" may be getting people into the theaters to see Sony Pictures' Pineapple Express , but it's not helping Sony Music's bottom line. Cannabis Light Cycle Fundamentals: 24/0, 18/6 and 12/12. Which light cycle is best for vegetative growth, is an often-debated topic. Here we review the basics and explain why we prefer an 18/6 light cycle. Cannabis Light Cycle Basics: In the cannabis community, light cycles are expressed as a fraction with “Lights on” time over “Lights off” time. 24/0: Lights are on 24 hours and off 0 hours 18/6: Lights are on 18 hours and off 6 hours 12/12: Lights are on 12 hours and off 12 hours. 12/12 timing is used during the flowering period with Photoperiod plants. The light cycle is important because plants need light to photosynthesize. The more light we can give them, the better they are. With photoperiod plants, we are limited to only 12 hours of light during the flowering stage. However, there is confusion in the growing community about the duration of lighting that works best for vegetative growth for photoperiod and auto-flowering plants. Plants use energy from light, to power their growth. Photosynthesis is really two basic processes, a light dependent cycle (the “photo” part of photosynthesis) and a light independent cycle, where carbohydrates are built (the “synthesis” part of photosynthesis). During the light dependent cycle, plants use light and water to create energy in the form of ATP and NADPH. This energy drives the synthesis of carbohydrates in the light independent cycle, which is often called the Calvin cycle. It is “light independent” because nothing within the Calvin cycle itself uses light energy directly.

However, it relies on the energy created in the first half of the photosynthesis.

It is during this second stage that plants take carbon dioxide from the air and use it to create the ultimate product of photosynthesis, carbohydrates. Although they are called “light independent” the synthesis processes of photosynthesis only operate when they receive energy from the “light dependent” part of the cycle. This means that the synthesis of carbohydrates occurs only while the plant is receiving light. Cannabis plants can be grown under continuous 24/0 lighting.
