Famous one-hit wonders include “My Sharona”, “Tainted Love”, “Who Let The Dogs Out” and “Somebody I Used to Know”.
And what better way to celebrate one-hit wonder day than with the aptly named one-hitter. For the uninitiated, a one-hitter is a small device, typically in the shape of a pipe or a cigarette, that is the perfect size to fit about one dose of dried cannabis.
Like any good one-hit wonder, the one-hitter works great when you’re looking for a quick feeling of satisfaction, but don’t want to get too invested. They’re ideal for those who just want a quick hit while they’re out during the day and who don’t need anything too complicated.

To get set up with a one-hitter, all you really need is the pipe, also called a bat, which is usually thin and measures a few inches long. But if you’re looking for a better way to transport it, as well as your cannabis, you can also invest in a dugout—a small box named after the area in a baseball field where you’d usually keep your bats.
They’re also pretty easy to find, with a lot of models available on artisan websites like Etsy. But if you’re looking for recommendations, companies like Futo Smoke, The Pursuit of Happiness and Ryot have models available at varying price ranges.
So blast your favourite one-hit wonder, grab a one-hitter and appreciate that good things don’t always come in big packages.
