How do I mend a glass pipe, using a propane torch?

First of all, Dont smoke rocks! You will regret it.

So you apply the heat of the torch slowly at first a little at a time while turning the glass until it is saturated by heat and becomes mailable , now while still applying heat grab the hot semi melted end with a pair of pliers. continue to heat the glass and slowly twist closed the end of the pipe and pull away the end bit of the glass. There, you should have a shoddy test tube. now continue to heat the glass more on one side than another apply air pressure to the inside of the pipe until a bubble forms and bursts. DO NOT SUCK IN.

Now you have a perfectly serviceable dope pipe. If you intend to smoke perhaps herbal blends or say tobacco press the end of the pipe where the hole is inward to form a bowl.

This is assuming that you are not talking about one of those big heavy pot pipes, that would be impossible to fix without complete reforming in a glass kiln.

Can you fix a broken glass cup?

Similarly, you may ask, can you fix a broken glass pipe?

Bong Repair Using Epoxy Two component epoxy is a great long lasting way to fix your broken glass bong. When buying epoxy, though, you need to make sure that you buy an epoxy with no solvents like a food grade epoxy. Epoxy works best on fixing bongs with clean breaks, and the joints of the bong accessories found here.

One may also ask, can warm milk fix broken china? You place your cracked piece in a pot and cover it with two cups of milk (or more if needed). Next, heat over low for an hour. Allow to cool in milk and then remove and rinse. Your piece, if the crack wasn’t too far gone, should now have resealed itself!

Also asked, can you melt cracked glass back together?

Fixing broken glass by melting it back together may seem like a logical thing to do… But believe it or not, heating-up and melting back together glass is incredibly difficult if not impossible. It would probably be easier to make a new glass piece… And this can be an expensive option.

Can you repair broken glass?

Some broken glass is easy to repair on your own, assuming you have the time, patience and skill to do so. Other glass pieces are too delicate, valuable or complicated. Clean breaks in stemware, vases and glass bowls may be able to be fixed with epoxies and adhesives you can find in a hardware store.

Things You’ll Need Glass is very delicate, so you must be careful when piecing it back together. Epoxy glue is best to use when gluing a glass bowl, as it is waterproof when dry, so you will be able to wash it without it coming apart. Repairing your glass bowl should only take about five minutes if done correctly. ]]>
