giant blunt wraps

I think you would've been happier with the results from the butter water method. yeah adding to much butter will make the potency go down, throw in a cup or to of water into the pot or crockpot with the weed butter mixture, the thc isnt wate soluble and will bond with the fats in the butter, after you have cheese clothed the hell out of the weed put the mixture into the fridge/freezer and wait til the butter on top solidifies and drain the water with the nasty green plant matter, the butter should look like a nice light green color, if it has been burned and comes out black or brown and smells like burnt popcorn throw it in boiling water for ten minutes restrain and repeat fridge process. I have found that water curing the trim first helps to reduce the smell dramatically. I agree, the smell can be powerful and off putting. I have also found that making cookies that have a strong taste such as ginger snaps helps to cover the taste as well.

Edibles are great as the high lasts a lot longer just be careful to not eat too much. I have been a victim of my own impatience which caused me to ingest just a little too much but it wore off in a few hours so no biggie! I made my first full batch yesterday and it did smell up my house. I think I'll be doing the next batch in my garage so my whole house won't smell like weed. I make my batch's on the porch on top of the BBQ, my neighbours love me ha! Hey everyone, Today I tried making edibles for the second time and I used the same method that went really well the first time but somehow everything went very downhill very quickly. I then mixed 7g of weed with 1 cup butter and 1 cup water and put it on the stove to simmer. I was checking the temperature about every 20 minutes, keeping it above 160 but below 200 Fahrenheit.

About 40-50 minutes into the simmering, I had retreated into another room to avoid the weed smell, and when my timer beeped, I went to check the weed and found that the pot was smoking, the liquid/butter inside was absolutely black, and the kitchen was full of smoke! I put the pot on my balcony to cool and stop smoking, but I'm really bummed at having lost that much weed so quickly. I ended up straining it into a container and it's now in the fridge cooling, so I can see whether I can separate the butter from the leftover water. Does anyone have experience with this or can anyone let me know their experiences with really burnt cannabutter? I'm concerned that the temperature probably went above 200F, denaturing the THC, and I wonder if it's even worth eating to see if it still works (assuming I can get over the burnt smell/taste).
